Writing Research Proposals

Help With Writing Research Proposals

You are strongly encouraged to attend one of the Office of Undergraduate Research’s workshops on Writing a Research Proposal. Some workshops are general, and some are specific to disciplines (given by the SURF advisors). See the Undergraduate Research Calendar for upcoming schedule and details. You do not need to register for the workshop in advance.

Your research proposal is the heart of your application. Start early so that you have time to incorporate faculty feedback.

At the bottom of this page you will find slides from the proposal workshops as a resource.
